Minor Nationals (B) Teams Face Each Other in Championship Final Game

South Ottawa has a lot of great minor level players. We fielded two teams this summer at the National level and each posted outstanding results, finishing first and second in regular summer play and both making it through the first playoff round to face each other in the championship.

While each team was determined to win, the competitive spirit was balanced with fair play, good attitudes and sportsmanship toward their "rivals" and fellow SOLL buddies. This is what little league is all about, and coaches, parents and players are all to be congratulated for a wonderful season.

In the end, the team coached by Neal Howes, Tom Casey and Dean Utting were able to score a few more runs to clinch the championship. Coaches Brad Fairholm, John Raponi and Brad Packham were equally proud of their team as they accepted the finalist awards. When these teams meet, it's anyone's game. Check out more successes and some nice photos from the Scott Tokessy Memorial tournament also shown on this site!
