South Ottawa Little League will be running several clinics during the off-season to improve your skills in Baseball.

The South Ottawa Junior A team were finalists in the 2010 QBA Bantam tournament this past weekend in Granby Quebec.  Great job!

The South Ottawa Rookie A Blues completed an undefeated season with a 17-5 victory over CFR this week. Congratulations also go out to the Rookie A2 Blues for their successful season as they made it to the semi-finals after being promoted from the B Division.

The South Ottawa Minor A Blues went to Brockville over the August 7-8 weekend and won the tournament. The Blues went 4-0 for the tournament, beating teams from Upper Canada, Oshawa, Kingston, and East Nepean in the Finals. Congratulations, Blues!

The South Ottawa Little League Major B team, coached by David Lightfoot, wins the annual Willie Putnam Tournament in Watertown, New York over the weekend. The team remains undefeated with a 10-0-1 record.

The 2009 Can-Am League Champions - Quebec Capitales will be playing a weekend series at Ottawa Stadium against the Pittsfield Colonials.  As you may know, Ottawa's Inter-county Baseball FatCats home season has ended.  The only remaining baseball at Ottawa Stadium this year (and at a higher level - independent professional), will be held here this weekend.

Over the years, many different Little Leagues and Districts in Canada have sponsored children’s baseball programs in third world countries, or even in more affluent countries where baseball is either a new sport or the area has been devastated by a natural disaster. Many of these efforts have been ad hoc in nature, dependent upon the interest and access of a local volunteer who travels often to the affected areas.
